It offers a slow- life luxury experience, with beautiful sunny days, fragrant gardens, and charming views of the Mediterranean. Since 1963, Abi d’Oru Beach Resort & Spa has been synonymous with tranquility, Sardinian cuisine, beaches, swimming pools, and an exceptional level of comfort. Five-star relaxation in the coveted Marinella.

Designed as an extension of the Sardinian landscape, almost all rooms offer extraordinary views of the sea or the hotel gardens.

Daily life at Abi d’Oru unfolds amidst fresh, serene, luminous, and elegant spaces. Equipped with the most modern amenities and furnished in Sardinian and Mediterranean style. The decor features Orosei marble and Samugheo carpets. Bathed in Sardinian light, the rooms combine soft tones, natural textures , and a serene sophistication that doesn’t need to be imposing. Each of these details, as quiet as they are significant, has earned its suites a place in our guide to the best suites on the Italian Coast.

Flavors to accompany every moment

When the landscape meets one of Sardinia’s finest luxury hotels , you can expect exceptional dining. Abi d’Oru focuses much of its attention on making mealtimes a sacred experience for its guests, boasting three restaurants and three bars, each with its own distinct character. This approach has earned it a reputation as a gourmet destination, renowned for its appetizers, fine dining, high-quality local ingredients, and enviable location on the Gulf of Marinella.

Restaurants in Abi d’Oru

Mediterranean Restaurant , with its warm Italian menu, holds a privileged place in our guide to the best restaurants on the Emerald Coast . It opens its doors to welcome diners at the beginning and end of the day, for breakfast and dinner, always with its charming sea views. At breakfast, local specialties are served with bread and an exquisite selection of pastries, all freshly prepared. As evening falls, the atmosphere transforms into a more elegant setting, with a menu dedicated to Mediterranean and Sardinian traditions, daily specials prepared by the chefs in an open kitchen, themed evenings, cooking demonstrations, and, once a week, the traditional Sardinian buffet.

Even closer to the sea is Trattoria del Pescatore, a historic seafood restaurant that gives pride of place to its seafood. It features signature dishes such as Catalan-style lobster, Paccheri del Pescatore with swordfish, peppers, squid, and bottarga, and Lorighittas di Morgongiori with lobster.

Tzia Maria Restaurant is an ode to the aromas and flavors of Sardinia. Located in the hotel garden, this inn offers simplicity, tradition, and the enticing aromas of a charcoal grill. Some of its culinary delights include genuinely local cured meats and cheeses, as well as traditional Sardinian dishes.

Bars

The beachy atmosphere is palpable at the Trattoria del Pescatore Beach Club, with its own umbrella service during the day and an elegant aperitif in the afternoon. Its convenient takeaway service allows you to have your favorite dishes delivered directly to your villa (PesCatering) for complete privacy, or even aboard your yacht, a possibility made possible by the Abi d’Oru hotel’s private tender dock. The club also features its own Lobster Hour, dedicated entirely to seafood and raw fish, accompanied by sparkling wines and Sardinian cocktails made with local spirits.

There are few things as inviting as enjoying a drink by the pool. They’ll bring you whatever you like: smoothies, snacks, sliced fruit, drinks, and ice cream. If you ask, they’ll bring it to you wherever you are in the pool or garden. For those moments when you just want to let the hours drift by without doing anything, there’s the Lobby Bar, with the classic ambiance of a grand hotel piano bar, perfect for lingering over an aperitif at sunset.

The beach is just steps away

Just steps from the hotel, the Mediterranean unfolds one of its most captivating scenes, with turquoise waters embraced by fine white sand. Between the rooms and the beautiful Marinella beach, there is only a garden, a swimming pool, and a natural pond. A section of the beach, the most sheltered on windy days, is reserved exclusively for guests of the Abi d’Oru hotel and furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas. Long days at the beach are best enjoyed at The Beach Restaurant, a haven with the timeless charm of summer holidays. Seven rows of umbrellas and eight beach gazebos await those brave enough to experience summer as it should be: with the calendar forgotten.

Swimming pools, a different blue

Seeing the spectacular turquoise waters of the Gulf of Marinella, it’s clear that it’s difficult to match the sense of wonder they inspire. Some might think, “With the beach, why would you need a pool?”, but Abi d’Oru has done his job perfectly. He has designed two pools, one for children and one for adults, providing an experience enjoyable enough to alternate between full days at the beach and full days at the pool. The main pool, with its sinuous lines, is heated and has several hydromassage jets, as well as an area dedicated to events. The sun terrace stretches out amidst Orosei stone and Mediterranean ceramics, with sun loungers and a small kiosk that invite you to linger in the sun.

Kids’ Club, fun for everyone

Abi d’Oru has a dedicated space for younger guests, with water games, group activities, and sports designed for children, from morning until late afternoon. The hotel also offers a babysitting service for children of all ages, special menus, and a water park with a dedicated children’s pool. In addition, the Happy Bees Kids Club has launched a new program to introduce the hotel’s youngest guests to the fascinating world of bees, where they can learn how a bee is born and lives, taste the honey they produce, and play with beeswax.
